Book Review: You Can Adopt

Finished a very helpful book on adoption. "You can Adopt: An Adoptive Families Guide"  by Susan Caughman and Isolde Motley.

I found the book very helpful and well organized. All the material was broken into small groupings and was easily digestible. My favorite part were the quotes and real-life stories they have throughout the book. Like this:

Looking back on our journey to parenthood, I see that this is how it was meant to happen for us. All the twists and turns along the way were life-learning experiences, preparing us for the wonderful relationship we have and for the daughter who is ours. --Lisa and Tim (from You Can Adopt: An Adoptive Families Guide)

They also have a great assortment of links, reference materials and "straight talk" pieces that are grouped with the related topics. They do a good job of pointing out the ups and downs about adoption and give you a solid reality-based approach to things you may encounter or feel. It's a great read for people who are considering adoption or early in the process.
