Great news for the children of Guatemala. Corruption in the program was discovered in 2007 and their international adoption program was put on hold for the past 2 years. Up to that point they had been the second-largest source of international adoptions in the U.S., but it looks like they have measures in place to ensure women are not coerced into putting children up for adoption. Sounds like the new program is improved. Time will tell.
