WORD WEDNESDAY - Chuseok edition!

I know, I know. I told you all about Chuseok yesterday (click HERE if you want a recap) but seeing as it's a two day holiday, it's worth a second post.

I'm reposting the link to Korean Class 101's Culture Lesson on Chuseok. I was a bit link happy in yesterday's post and it would have been easy to miss. (If you were a special super dedicated blog reader and lready went to this site, you get an A+ and an extra rice cake at dinner!)

The site is great for picking up some language skills. But this particular lesson is a culture lesson where they teach some extra words specific to the culture/holiday, as well as the traditions behind it. It's only about 10 minutes to give yourself a Chuseok treat and take a listen.

  1. Hi there! Stopping in from ICLW!

I poked around a little bit, but couldn't find when you expect to bring baby home! We contemplated adopting from Korea, but they weren't allowing anyone else on the wait list at that time I do have a friend who has adopted her son from Korea so Korea adoption along with China adoption we were enrolled in the program until we learned that the wait was becoming ridiculous) both have a special place in my heart.
Hope you get to bring baby home soon!

  2. That is a great site. My middle son takes Tae Kwon Do and I am always wondering if I'm pronouncing the words and terms correctly. Now I can make sure I'm saying things correctly.

  3. Wow, I haven't visited Korean Class 101 in AGES! Have you checked out Talk to Me in Korean? Their podcasts are fun to listen to. ^_^

    Happy Chuseok!

  4. Hi Lacie. Thanks for stopping by! Right now we are waiting for our paperwork to be sent to Korea (or hopefully it has already been sent!). After that point the standard wait time is 4-6 months for referral, and 3-4 months until travel.
